GYM CHAPTER LEAD – 4 HOURS PER MONTH

It is the responsibility of the Gym Chapter Lead to provide an empowering and comfortable space for our gym meet ups. Chapter Leads should be passionate about empowering others, connecting womxn in the community and love climbing! In order to become a Gym Chapter Lead, you must be a member of the gym in which you are applying, passed your gym’s top rope belay test, and not had any safety infractions in the last six months. We are currently looking for Gym Chapter Leads for the following gyms:

  • Gecko Climbing Gym in North Phoenix
  • Phoenix Rock Gym in Tempe
  • AZ on the Rocks in Scottsdale
  • Ape Index Climbing in Peoria
  • Beta Bouldering in Flagstaff

PHOENIX EVENT COORDINATOR – 1-2 HOURS PER WEEK

It is the duty of the event coordinator to plan awesome events for the climbing community!  Our event coordinators work with local partners and organizations to highlight local climber owned businesses and bring the best events possible to our communities. The event coordinator should have a be creative, self motivated, work well with partner teams and have a background in some event management. Email a short cover letter outlining your experience in event management to info@azwcc.org to get started.


REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR PHOENIX AND FLAGSTAFF – 2-4 HOURS PER WEEK

What can we say about a Regional Director? A Regional Director is the head of the AZWCC for the Northern, Central or Southern Region. It is the duty of the Regional Director to handle communication with local chapters and gyms, coordinate coverage of gym leads, and table at our local events. A Regional Director should be well connected with the local climbing community, love in-person events, works well managing a team, and LOVES socializing with others. Our Regional Directors are invited to seek open Board Positions.
